Design Team

Long known for its fresh yet enduring style, Tomlinson/Erwin-Lambeth brings together some of the most respected and talented upholstery designers in the home furnishings industry. Together, the synergy of this phenomenal group becomes even greater than its individual parts giving Tomlinson/Erwin-Lambeth a product line that is sophisticated, diverse and always the best blend of form and function.

One of the most acclaimed designers in the country, Barry Dixon brings his exquisite sense of harmony, balance and comfort to his designs. Rob Jones adds an incredible knowledge of proportion and scale to his clean, classic designs. Known for his “livable contemporary” pieces and legendary interiors, Larry Laslo is recognized as an arbiter of extraordinary style and sophistication. Denis McCullough has a keen awareness of consumer needs and desires and she transforms that awareness into sofas and chairs that are both beautiful and exquisitely engineered. A true Renaissance woman, Nancy Barnett uses her broad and extensive creative pursuits as an inspiration for her sought after designs.

This stellar group of designers is unparalleled in the home furnishings industry. Each brings his or her own unique aesthetic, and together, they create the extraordinary Tomlinson/Erwin-Lambeth line.

The integrity of good design is determined simply by what is “appropriate.” Of course, the subjectivity of that word requires that clients align themselves with a designer who shares their vision.

To be successful in creating an environment, one must be a born collaborator.

I aspire to design furniture with soul through refinement of scale, proportion and quality craftsmanship. My goal is complete when I know that I helped someone use their imagination when making their furniture choice and the furniture captured their hearts.

For me, design must be fashionably timeless, with thought to simplicity, proportion, and most of all comfort.

As the new me, I design to a scale of function. If it works build it. Less is more and the more the better. We all know good design when we see it.

I believe that excellent design is the blending of creative style balanced with careful proportion and scale. It is this blending and balance that changes the ordinary to the extraordinary.
